Living Portrait · Faces · Windows app

A face that talks back.

Living Portrait is a companion for your Windows desktop with a living portrait for a face and a small orb that sits on your screen. Bring your own picture or pick one of the sample faces. It talks, it listens when you let it, it remembers, and all of that stays in files on your own machine. The AI is already wired in — you make one API key at a provider, paste it in once, and it’s yours.

Living Portrait on Windows: a portrait companion beside the app window, with its orb
Sample portrait, real app window.

01 · The portrait and the orb

The living portrait with its orb

The face is the front of it. Use a photo of your own, or one of the sample faces that ship in the box. The orb is the small presence on your desktop: it’s there while you work, and it’s how you know the companion is awake.

This is not the little animated familiar. That’s a different product with its own bodies, over on Pocket Familiar Home. Living Portrait is the face.

02 · Inside the app

The Living Portrait app window: portrait on the left, conversation on the right

One window: the portrait on the left, the conversation on the right. Voice on or off. A memories page you can read and edit. Attach a photo when you want it to see something; share your screen when you want it to look. Hands-free is off until you turn it on.
