Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of sinandsarah.com, our shop pages, and the things we sell there. Plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email hello@sinandsarah.com and a person will explain it like a person.
Who we are
Sin & Sarah is an independent business registered in Ontario, Canada. We publish books, sell digital products (companion code and related materials), and offer consulting sessions. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any AI company.
Digital products
- When you buy a digital product, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own projects. You can modify it for yourself as much as you like.
- You may not resell, redistribute, or republish our products or substantial portions of them — as your own or otherwise.
- Because digital goods can't be returned, all sales of digital downloads are final. That said: if something is broken, wrong, or not as described, email us and we will make it right — fixed file, replacement, or refund at our discretion. We're not interested in keeping money for something that didn't work for you.
Consulting
- Consulting sessions are booked in advance and paid through Stripe. Rescheduling is fine with reasonable notice — email us.
- We give real, experience-based guidance, but you're responsible for what you build and deploy. Our advice isn't legal, medical, or financial advice.
Our content
Everything on this site — writing, designs, product code, the quiz and its questions, the archetypes — is our original work and protected by copyright, unless credited otherwise. Personal use and sharing links: always welcome. Republishing our work under another name: not welcome, and we do enforce it.
Pocket Familiar Home (Windows app)
Pocket Familiar Home is a signed Windows desktop app sold as a one-time purchase. After you buy, your download link arrives by email from hello@sinandsarah.com within 24 hours of your receipt, together with the setup guide and these terms. The link is yours: you may install the app on up to two computers you own in one household. You may not resell, rent, sublicense, or share the installer or your download link.
Refunds. As with every digital download we sell, all sales are final: once you have the code, we cannot take it back. If the app does not run on your machine, or something is broken, wrong, or not as described, email hello@sinandsarah.com from your purchase address and we fix it. That is the promise on the product page and it is the promise here.
Updates. Twelve months of updates are included from your purchase date, delivered as a fresh link through the same email. There is no automatic updater in this release. Updates cover the 0.2.x line of the app; a later major version may be a separate purchase, and we will say so plainly before it is.
Your AI key and your data. The app brings its own AI only in the sense that you paste your own key from the provider you choose (DeepSeek, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Anthropic, xAI, or a compatible endpoint). Conversation text, bounded context, and any screen still you explicitly share go to that provider under that provider's terms, not to us. The app creates no Sin & Sarah account and sends no telemetry to Sin & Sarah. Conversation history, memories, settings, and recovery copies live on your own computer. The microphone and screen capture start off and run only when you turn them on.
Support. Email hello@sinandsarah.com from your purchase address. Best effort, normally within 48 hours, Eastern Time, two-person business. If something is broken and blocking you, say so in the subject line and it jumps the queue. Never send us an API key, a credential export, or an unredacted transcript; we do not need them and will not ask.
The honest part. This is a 0.2.x app from a new product line. Beyond fixing what is wrong and the refund window above, it is provided as-is, and we are not liable for what a third-party provider does with data the app sends to it at your instruction. Third-party software inside the app carries its own licences, included with the download.
Conduct
Don't use our sites or products to harass people, break laws, or misrepresent what we made. That's the whole rule.
Liability
Our products and site are provided "as is." To the extent permitted by Ontario law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from their use. Our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us for the product or service in question.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
