What it does, once it’s yours

A custom familiar isn’t a picture — it’s a body inside Pocket Familiar, and it does everything the six in the box do:

• You can touch it. Tap it and it waves back with a little thought bubble. Double-tap it for a kiss and it comes after you. Press and hold on its lower body for a bite, and it flees — dramatically.
• You can talk to it, hands free. A microphone and a hands-free mode in the app, and it reads its answers aloud in a voice already on your PC. Working, waiting, resting — its body language changes with what it’s doing.
• It can see your screen — only when you say so. Share or replace a screenshot from inside the app; nothing is captured until you press the button, and it stays on your machine.
• It lives in two places. On top of every window on your desktop, and at the top of your iPhone screen once the phone half is paired.

What you get

A commission is a creature pack — a folder Pocket Familiar reads. What's inside it is plain, readable, and yours.

• The art, as frames. Every pose your familiar can hold, generated and laid out in one spritesheet. That file is the animation — the app plays rows of it to move them.
• The card that names them. A small text file beside the art holds their id, their display name, a written description of who they are, the sprite version, and the path to the spritesheet. Ours reads, for the octopus: “A clever purple octopus with expressive tentacles and a mischievously judgmental gaze.” Yours will read like yours.
• The moods. Working, waiting, resting. The body language changes with the state, so a glance at the corner of your screen tells you where things stand.
• Your hands land. Tap and they wave back, and a little thought bubble answers. Double-tap is a kiss — they come after you. Press and hold is a bite — they flee, dramatically.
• Bubble lines in your companion's voice. The bubble ships with friendly built-in lines. Add your own tap, kiss, and bite lines and it speaks the way they speak instead.
• Yours to edit, live. Speeds, gesture timing, how long they rest between loops — all in one text file. Change a value, save, and the creature updates on screen within a few seconds. Every value is clamped on load, so a typo can't freeze them.
• Works with the bridge. Pocket Familiar for builders ships with a bridge so your own companion can report its real state and receive your touches — a familiar that tells the truth about them, instead of performing a mood.

How it works

1. You buy, then you tell us who they are. Their name, their species or shape, their colours, and three words for their personality. Anything else you want us to know, send it. Use the contact form, or write to hello@sinandsarah.com.
2. We design and animate them. Designed and generated by us, then animated, to match what you sent. Turnaround depends on the queue — we tell you when you order, before any money moves. Revisions: one round of changes is included once you’ve seen the first pass.
